20 Patterns by Zak+Fox Riff on Peruvian Textiles

This season, Zak Profera really went to the dogs. Make that the llamas. The Zak+Fox founder and creative director shot his first-ever woven textile collection on an Altamont, New York, farm—and the tenants didn’t seem to mind a bit. After all, the 20 textural patterns put a spin on traditional Peruvian textiles (though they’re actually handmade in India). Irregularly sized cotton yarns twist in Chimi, its diamond pattern arising from striations of color. Baratillo is hand-loomed from twisted cotton and jute, then cut and patched together. And the cotton-linen ground of multicolored Bordado is composed of narrow embroidered stripes.
